A new state law took effect on 07-26-09. The goal of the law is to raise awareness of the signs and symptom of concussions.
Part of the law requires parents and the athletes to read and sign a Concussion Information Sheet before the athlete may participate or practice. That sheet is attached to this email. Please print the Information Sheet and review it with your son or daughter. You will both need to sign it, agreeing that you understand it. If your family is fortunate enough to have more than one Wolfpack athlete then you must sign a sheet for each of them. If the football player or cheerleader is unable to sign their name please have them print their name in the appropriate space. Then bring the signed Information Sheet with you Saturday, August 1st to the first practice and parent meeting.
I understand that this is short notice but the law went into effect on July 26 and we as a franchise were notified of it's existence on the evening of the 26th at the monthly Cascade Junior Football League meeting. The law is strict about no participation without the signed Information Sheet. Please help the coaches ensure that your football players and cheerleaders achieve the required number of practices by completing and bringing these forms to the first day of practice - August 1.
Thank you,

- Clarion House Rules
We reserved a block of rooms for Wolfpack.
Clarion Hotel (509) 248-7850 call to reserve your room!
Team Name-Wolfpack Football
Double Rooms $84 a night
The dates are Saturday & Sunday, August 20 & 21. This event is optional to attend. You are not required to attend, and your son will not lose playing time if you are not able to attend. If you do plan on attending you will need to book your hotel room soon. We have blocked a group of rooms at the Clarion Hotel. The hotel works very well for the large group we plan on having. There are two outdoor swimming pools, restaurant, and meeting rooms for the teams. They have put together a great package for us which consists of a room for four people, and buffet style breakfast for $84.00 per night.
Their are several reasons why this event is such a success for our program. It's a great way for parents and kids to get aquainted with each other on and off the field. Also, coaches get a chance to see how their team looks before we start our season the following week.
The games are controlled scrimmages. Each team gets 30 minutes on offense, 30 minutes on defense. Depending on how many kids sign up to go, we may split your team into two groups. Last season the midgets had over thirty kids go, so we made two teams so the kids got a lot of playing time. We will be playing teams from all over the norhtwest.
You should be hearing from your players coach regarding this event. If you have any questions, please contact your head coach.
